BACK GARDEN 1-HOUR STARGAZING EXPERIENCE
Have you ever wanted to explore the night sky with an experienced astronomer from your own back garden? Here we make it possible! Our astronomer will visit your home and set up a large portable telescope in your garden. We’ll choose a clear night and likely begin with a laser-guided tour of the stars and constellations. We’ll then take you and your family & friends on a journey out across the universe in search of distant star systems and star clusters, nebulae and we’ll even look for the glow from distant galaxies in the telescope! Should we have planets that are easily visible from your garden then we’ll get a look at those too in the telescope

The 1-hour stargazing experience is ideal for couples and families who wish to explore the night sky with an astronomer. All children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Voucher recipient may have up to 15 friends and family members share in the experience at no extra charge.
When can the voucher be used?
We run stargazing experiences all year round so you’re welcome to use the voucher for a week night or weekend night any time of the year, except 24 – 31 December, and subject to our astronomer’s availability. When arranging a date it is best to select a few nights so we have some options for bad weather. As we approach each of your booked dates we’ll check the weather forecast. If it is poor we’ll roll the experience forward to your next date, and continue to do so until we can run the stargazing for you.

We met with Nick last night for a two hour experience in the New Forest. Nick was brilliant, his enthusiam shone through, and his knowledge was amazing. He was able to answer all the questions we threw at him, and I won't spoil it for others but what we saw in the night sky was mind blowing! I can wholeheartedly recommend this to anyone who wants to do something different to the usual activities one might think of for an evening. We'll worth it. Also, the communication leading up to the night was excellent, with Seb keeping us fully informed of the weather situation and confirming our dates and location etc... In good time. 10/10, easiest good review I've ever had to leave!!!

Paul and I wanted to thank you very much for giving us such a wonderful guided tour of the night sky last week. We were both stunned by what you showed us and haven't got over it yet! We were amazed by how much we saw in the hour and have been recalling different facts every time we've looked at the night sky this week. Your enthusiasm for your subject certainly shone through and made us want to know more so I've been gradually reading up about the various objects you showed us. I still haven't been able to get my head around the sheer distances involved though!
What you do is a great experience for people to share and we have mentioned it to several of our family and friends already. Paul emailed the golf course owners about our evening and sent the photo. Hopefully it will be included in the next newsletter.
