CHILTERN HILLS 2-HOUR STARGAZING EXPERIENCE

Depart on an amazing journey among the stars with astronomer Seb Jay as your guide. You'll discover some of the incredible stories behind many of the constellations and stars visible from the Chiltern Hills, and you'll get to travel out thousands of light years to distant star clusters, nebulae and even other galaxies far beyond our own using a big telescope. If the moon is in the sky you'll get a high-definition close up of the lunar surface. Planets too give up their secrets - see Saturn's rings, Jupiter's moons and get a view of the Martian surface! Ask for details on the best times of the year to see the planets.

Our 2-hour Chilterns stargazing experience is the perfect gift for family or friends with an interest in space or the night sky. We can adapt the experience to suit the voucher recipient's interest level. We ru stargazing experiences in the Chilterns for individuals, couples, families and small groups of up to 15 people. It is a private experience so it'll just be the voucher recipient plus whoever they wish to have with them. All children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

When can the voucher be used?

You decide! We run stargazing experiences from the Chiltern Hills all year round. The only times we don't run are 24 -31 December, and if our astronomer is already booked. For best choice of dates you're advised to book well in advance. You can book for a week night or weekend night with any start time, so long as it is dark!

What if it is raining or cloudy?

Naturally cloud and rain is always a threat. When using the voucher to book the stargazing experience we recommend that you choose 2 or 3 nights initially on which you’d be happy for us to run the experience. If it is cloudy / raining on all selected nights then we’ll simply roll the experience forward to an alternative date that works. We can keep rolling the experience forward until we are able to run the stargazing for you.
