We hope you’re delighted with your stargazing experience gift voucher. To use the voucher please contact us with your voucher number and date preferences. You can opt for a week night or weekend night anytime of the year, except 24 – 31 December, and subject to our astronomer’s availability.
When deciding on dates we recommend that you choose 2 or 3 nights initially on which you’d be happy for us to run the stargazing experience. This gives us options in case of poor weather. For best choice of dates please consider booking 4 - 5 months in advance. Weekend dates tend to get booked up further in advance than week dates.
If you would like a list of available dates to help you make your choice then please do let us know. We can send you two lists of dates – a ‘standby list’ and ‘fully available’ list.
The standby list will be of dates that are already booked for others, but as their second or third choice nights. If the weather is kind to us we can get the original booking completed on their first choice date, so freeing up the remaining dates for you.
The fully available list will be for nights that are completely available for you.
You are welcome to specify a preferred start time, or we can select one for you. Please bear in mind that during midsummer (June and July) we will need to look at a relatively late start time – c. 10pm / 11pm – owing to the lingering summer twilight.
When you’ve let us know what dates you’d like and we’ve confirmed those dates are available, we’ll email you a booking confirmation. Then, closer to your first date, we’ll be in touch with a weather update so we can decide if it’ll be clear enough to go ahead. Normally we’ll know 24 – 48 hours ahead if we can go for it, although if the forecast is uncertain we may need to make a decision on the day itself.
