LONDON AND SURREY HILLS 1-HOUR STARGAZING EXPERIENCE

Looking for a unique experience gift for a family member or a friend? Our 1-hour London stargazing experience gives you the opportunity to explore the night sky from an open-air location at Hampstead Heath, Epping Forest or Hatfield Forest, or from our Surrey Hills location at Ranmore Common near Dorking. We'll meet you there with one of our large portable telescopes to take you out on an amazing adventure among the stars. Along the way you'll encounter star systems, star clusters, nebulae and even distant galaxies far beyond our own, and we'll give you the background story to each view. If the moon and / or planets are visible at the time then we'll visit them too with the telescope. Included in the 1-hour stargazing experience is a laser-guided tour of the stars and constellations that we can see from London / Surrey Hills.

The London 1-hour stargazing experience is a great gift for anyone with an interest in astronomy or the night sky in general. It gives you the opportunity to look through a big telescope with an experienced astronomer as your personal guide. The experiences we offer are private, so it'll be just for the voucher recipient plus any family and friends that they wish to bring along to share in the experience. As such the 1-hour stargazing experience is suitable  for individuals, couples, families and small groups. All children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Voucher recipient may have up to 15 friends and family members share in the experience at no extra charge.

When can the voucher be used?

The stargazing experience can be taken on a week night or weekend night anytime of the year, except 24 - 31 December, and subject to our availability. When using the voucher we recommend booknig well in advance so you have the best selection of dates. If you'd like to see a planet let us know and we'll advise on the best time of year to see one.

What if it is raining or cloudy?

Naturally cloud and rain is always a threat. When using the voucher to book the stargazing experience we recommend that you choose 2 or 3 nights initially on which you’d be happy for us to run the experience. If it is cloudy / raining on all selected nights then we’ll simply roll the experience forward to an alternative date that works. We can keep rolling the experience forward until we are able to run the stargazing for you.
