1-Hour Mendip Hills Stargazing Experience Gift Box with Stargazing Voucher

Go on a private stargazing experience from a dark sky location in the Mendip Hills. Our professional astronomer will meet you at the Mendip Hills location near the Charterhouse Outdoor Activity Centre not far from Cheddar or Bristol for a grand tour of the night sky. Run exclusively for the gift recipient plus any other family & friends they'd like to include (maximum of 15 in your family / friends group) our astronomer will first introduce you to our observatory-grade telescope. You'll then enjoy a laser-guided tour of the stars and constellations we can see from the Mendip Hills, followed by a journey out across the universe with our telescope. Along the way you'll get to see many amazing sights - from coloured binary star systems and dazzling star clusters to wispy nebulae and distant galaxies. If the moon and / or planets are visible at the time we'll get a look at them too through the telescope. 

We run stargazing experiences from the Mendip Hills throughout the year. Standard lead time for booking your private session is 4 - 6 months. We recommend choosing 2 or 3 dates so we have some options for the weather. As we approach each date then we can check the weather forecasts and decide if it looks clear enough to go ahead. If the weather forces cancellation of a date then we'll move forward to a different date so we can give you the best chance of some clear sky.

The Mendip Hills stargazing experience gift box voucher is valid for two years, and can be extended for an additional year free of charge. The gift box recipient can choose a week night or weekend night any time of the year for their stargazing experience, subject to our availability, making it an ideal Mendip Hills christmas gift!
