Head out on an adventure across the universe using a big telescope and a professional astronomer as your guide. Our private 1-hour Rutland stargazing experience is an exclusive stargazing session run for individuals, couples and families. RUTLAND 1-HOUR STARGAZING EXPERIENCE

Enjoy an exciting 1-hour stargazing adventure from a beautiful stargazing spot near Rutland Water. A short walk away from where you'll park our astronomer will take you on journey out amongst the stars with one of our big telescopes. Amazing views await of star systems, dazzling star clusters, some visible to the naked eye, and others only revealed by the resolving power of the telescope. Nebulae and distant galaxies too are on the viewing menu, as will be any planets visible at the time. It's the perfect birthday or Christmas gift for anyone with a fascination in astronomy or the night sky in general.

1-hour stargazing experience gift voucher for Rutland valid for 2 years from month of issue with option to extend for a further year free of charge.

The 1-hour Rutland Stargazing Experience is suitable for individuals, couples, families and small groups. This is a private stargazing experience run exclusively for the gift box recipient plus any family and friends they wish to bring along. All children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Voucher recipient may have up to 15 friends and family members share in the experience at no extra charge.

When can the voucher be used?

Use the stargazing voucher to book your astronomical adventure with us anytime of the year. We run on week nights and weekend nights  except 24-31 December, and subject to our astronomer’s availability. Typically we run ona 6-month lead time for available dates. 

What if it is raining or cloudy?

Naturally cloud and rain is always a threat. When using the voucher to book the stargazing experience we recommend that you choose  2 or 3 nights initially on which you’d be happy for us to run the experience. If it is cloudy / raining on all selected nights then we’ll simply roll the experience forward to an alternative date that works. We can keep rolling the experience forward until we are able to run the stargazing for you.
